BOYD MOUNTAIN RANCH

This 638 acre ranch is near the town of Golanda in northeern Nevada.  It is at an altitude of 3500' and is open range land surrounded on three sides by BLM open land.   To the north west of is the Black Rock Desert, a desert valley more than 150 miles long which is used by the annual Burning Man Festival , Amateur Rocketry and people interested in high power rocketry

Only 100 miles further southwest is Fernly and the Mustang range where machine gun enthusiasts gather.  There are nearby hot springs, electric power within 1/2 mile, and only about 35 miles from Winnimucca on a good quality dirt road.   To the east on route 80 past Battle Mountain, and Elko you will come to Halleck Nevada, near the original Camp Halleck that was Capt. Orsemus B. Boyd's first assignment in the west.
